Ένας από τους σπουδαιότερους αθλητές της εποχής μας, ο Kobe Bryant, καθώς και η 13χρονη κόρη του Gianna, σκοτώθηκαν σε ένα φριχτό δυστύχημα. Ολόκληρος ο αθλητικός κόσμος θρηνεί και η κοινότητα του τένις δεν αποτελεί εξαίρεση.
O θρύλος του μπάσκετ Kobe Bryant και μια από τις τέσσερις κόρες του, η Gianna, βρίσκονται ανάμεσα στα 9 θύματα που άφησε η συντριβή του ελικοπτέρου του το πρωί της Κυριακής, στη νότια Καλιφόρνια.
Όλος ο κόσμος θρηνεί τον τραγικό χαμό ενός εκ των κορυφαίων όλων των εποχών και η κοινότητα του τένις εκφράζει σύσσωμη και σοκαρισμένη τα συλληπητήριά της. Άλλωστε, ο Kobe υπήρξε μεγάλος fan του αθλήματος, είχε γνωρίσει τους μεγαλύτερους τενίστες του κόσμου και επισκεπτόταν σε κάθε ευκαιρία το US Open.
